"They told me I couldn't, that's why I did." Motivated by Michael Jordan's quote, Camille Dawson has a passion for breaking barriers. This passion comes from the same brain that struggles with anxiety, an invisible disease that affects many.
To combat this affliction, Camille has taken advantage of therapy to learn to work through the crippling worries and negativity. Therapy has been a game changer for Camille, prompting her to work towards increasing the same opportunities for people of color. Studies show that 39% of white individuals suffer from chronic anxiety, while 56% of African American individuals suffer from the same. On average, fewer than half of these African American individuals will seek treatment with the generalized care designed towards white patients.
100% of the profit from Victory Parade socks go to the Loveland Foundation; an organization with a focus on increasing the accessibility of mental health resources for Black women and girls.
These socks hope to inspire you to choose courage in fighting your battles and choose courage to support others in fighting their battles. Join us in the parade towards equality of accessible, relevant, and personalized mental health resources.
