Baseball gave me a chance. A chance to work hard. A chance to win. A chance to give back.
In my career, I’ve won a Gold Glove, a batting title, and even been mentioned in the same breath as Jackie Robinson, when I led league in stolen bases and batting average in the same season.
But mostly, baseball has given me a platform to be myself, Dee Strange-Gordon, a man of the people.
